About Me

Janie Ellis is a serial entrepreneur with 28 years of experience in Interior Design and Design related businesses. Over the course of her career, she has launched a successful Interior Design business, an award-winning decorative painting and plaster company (Anything But Plain), and a nationally recognized artistic training facility and retail/internet store (Anything But Plain School of Decorative Finishes). This wealth of experience has provided Janie with a unique understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing interior design professionals today. From client-side to business operations, Janie has seen it all. 

As a business owner, teacher, artist, marketer, and trade vendor, Janie understands the fluidity of the market and all aspects of showcasing one's talent for profitability. Her education and experience is a valuable asset to any designer or design related business looking to improve performance.

Her work has been showcased on television, books, and national publications. Janie has a BA in Art and a Master's Degree in Interior Design.
